Admission to kindergarten traditionally starts in October and continues until the groups are full. If free places are available, it is also possible to apply during the rest of the year.<\/p>\n
The \u201cgetting used to\u201d period is the most important time in the life of a family and hence it should pass with calm. The important thing is, together with the parents, to make the child feel that he or she is loved, that new friendships will be formed and that marvelous days lie ahead, where the child can grow up happily.<\/p>\n
Our experience has taught us that it is of high importance that parents prepare their child emotionally before the kindergarten admission process begins. We advise that you bring your child with you for your first visit, so that he or she can meet the children and teachers and see the building, the yard, the rooms and the toys.<\/p>\n
Parents must be ready to stay with their child in the kindergarten during the first week, longer at the beginning, shorter as time goes by, but surely as long as is recommended by the teachers.<\/p>\n
To feel at home during the process of adaptation, the child can bring anything that would help him or her to feel calm and safe to kindergarten. It could be a favourite toy or an object associated with home.<\/p>\n

I found out about the \u201cUwekind\u201d kindergarten long before having children. It was wintertime, I was passing by a house, where I saw many children in the yard, playing and having fun in the snow. Children in the snow! I hadn\u2019t seen such beauty in years. Usually, the kindergarten yards are empty during \u201cbad\u201d weather. Years passed and it was time to look for a kindergarten for my daughter. The first place I went to was \u201cUwekind\u201d. It turned out to be the last one, too.
I recommend the \u201cUwekind\u201d kindergarten to parents who want their children to feel loved and desired. Real professionals work here. Teachers are of a high level and the children gain knowledge and skills, which we, parents, didn\u2019t even suspect that they were capable of gaining. Theatrical troops and musicians come to visit the kindergarten. There are also ballet and karate workshops. German is learned in such a way, that children are able to perform entire theatre plays in it. But the most important thing for me is that my daughter is happy.<\/p>\n
